I CANT FIGURE IT!

'I CANT FIGURE IT' is a instrumental which was created by a 18 year old, media student, Chanan Ram! It was sampled from 'We are the take' by Montreal Love Song, and re-created with a Urban/ Hip Hop twist.

As it is easy to copy music videos that have already been created we have chosen to use this song as we believe that it allows us to be more creative and produce the video using our own ideas and exactly how we want it to be.

This is just a draft to give a feel of the song we are going to use. The final and complete version of the song will be posted soon.

PITCH

Own production music, Hip Hop/ alternative, partly slow motion, lip syncing with a narritive base, intresting camera shots with a urban feel.

Drake - Over

I have choped this clip using tubechop to show my favourite part of the video, when the lyrics said by Drake fly out onto the screen. I think this looks really effective and am considering using this on my video.

Busted- Post Production

editing

During the Post Production part, we had to edit the footage we had, to make our own final version of the video. We did this using iMovie on the Macs provided.

Ryan Leslie Producing Cassie's Just One Night

I have posted this video as it gives a documentry feel. It also creates a good vibe as you get to see Ryan Leslie producing the track.

Busted- Production

During the production stage, most shots were straight forward as we already drew out a storyboard showing us which shot to do you at which angle. Although there was a good sense of continuity throughout the video it was difficult to create as the shooting was done over two lessons as we sometimes forgot where we had sat and which side of the camera we were on. To overcome this we decided to take all the shots that were in the same setting together, so that it was alot quicker, easier and create a greater sense of continuity.

Busted Pre- Production

Before re-creating the 'Busted' video, we had to go through the pre-production part, which consists of, drawing storyboard that showed us which clip would come first and which camera angle is needed. Making a storyboard also helped us in the Production part as it made it alot easier and quicker because we already had an idea of how the camera shot would look. We also had to get all the equipment that was needed ready, for example: the video camera, the recording tape and the tripod which helped us, when taking shots from difficult angels. Mise-en-scene was also considered as, the right costumes were needed, such white school shirt, the electric guitars and the setting were the recording would take place. Doing this helped create a sense of realism.

From Pre-Production stage, I have learnt that, having storyborads and the right Mise-en-scene is vital for the production as it creates a better and realistic feel to the video. It also makes the production part a lot easier as, we have an order of which shots and angels are needed, which takes the guessing part out and gives us a better final product.
